Coach Jeff Anderson was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. He moved over to the mainland his sophomore year to play football, basketball, and cross country at South Delta Senior Secondary. In 1996, Jeff moved to Oregon and attended Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) playing for Randy Falk for one season. Following LBCC, Jeff was a
student-athlete at Western Oregon University (WOU). He played two seasons for Tom Kelly where he learned the value of practice and game planning. He graduated in 2000 with a double major in Speech Communication and English Literature.

After WOU, Jeff went overseas to teach English as Second Language in Daegu, South Korea. During the four and a half years in South Korea, he was the player-coach of a college club team at Keimyung University. From Korea, Jeff moved to Japan where he spent almost five years – three and a half were with Fukuoka University Ohori High School and another year plus with Rizing Fukuoka in the BJ League (professional). Jeff returned to Canada to be on staff at Vancouver Island University with Tony Bryce and the mens’ team. The team was ranked #1 in the nation most of the year and going 18-0 in conference, and taking the Silver medal in the conference tournament. This was the best team that Jeff was ever a part of thus far. The chemistry and selflessness on the team was unprecedented in his playing and coaching career.

In 2010, Jeff moved back to Oregon and joined his former coach, Randy Falk, at Linn-Benton. It was here with Randy that Jeff learned the value of being a student of the game. Following two years at LBCC, Jeff spent two years working with Jason Baskett at Emerald City Basketball Academy in Seattle while running a 300-team adult recreational basketball league, Puget Sound Basketball.

In 2014, Jeff went back to school to earn his Master’s of Arts in Sports & Athletic Administration from Gonzaga University. While doing grad school, Jeff worked full-time, helped raise two sons, Jace (9) and Liam (6), and coached for Team Fly in Tigard.

In 2018, Fred Gold’s second attempt to have Jeff join the staff at Lakeridge High School was successful. Jeff was Fred’s Varsity Assistant the first year, and Head JV coach and Varsity Assistant the second year. Last year, he was the coach of the Sherwood Boys Classic 8B team. He forged 9 incredible relationships with his players and additional ones with the program parents.

Jeff currently lives in King City with his wife Jenny who played D1 basketball at New Mexico, his two sons, and their dog Sydney. Jeff enjoys the game of golf, watching Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, and reads voraciously. Jeff works at a semiconductor company in Tualatin as the Facilities Manager. He has been there since the summer of 2020.

Jeff is excited for the upcoming season and has filled out his coaching staff with:
