The Ruff 'N Ready Memorial Tournament is intended to honor and pay tribute to an amazing man from the Sherwood Community who lost his battle to cancer in June of 2019. Troy Ruff was, and will always be remembered as a pillar of joy, sacrifice, and true commitment to serving others in our community. For years Troy was an active volunteer in the Sherwood Youth Basketball organization including coaching both his son JT, and daughter Emilee, as well as other teams even after his kids had moved on to the next level. In addition, Troy would often be found volunteering anywhere he was needed to help pull off successful youth tournaments through the years. 

 

For the numerous family and friends who loved him, they know that a basketball tournament is the perfect venue to offer an annual reminder of the person he was and the people he touched in the Sherwood community. Troy Ruff will be missed dearly, but never forgotten. So on behalf of the entire Sherwood basketball community, and his wife and kids, Beth, JT, and Emilee, we thank you for supporting our Ruff 'N Ready Memorial Tournament.
